- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 tsp salt
- 1⁄4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cups low-sodium vegetable broth, plus more if needed
- 1 1⁄2 cups cooked black beans or 1 (15.5 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 or 2 scallions, minced
- 2 Tbsp chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp minced fresh Italian parsley or cilantro
- Hot pepper sauce, for serving (optional)
