Ingredients

For the spread:

  • 13  cup hummus

For the sandwiches:

  • 4 leaves of green leaf lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 Persian cucumber, sliced into ribbons
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 12 cup alfalfa or broccoli sprouts
  • 12 cup roasted red pepper strips, drained and patted dry
  • 14 cup pickled red onions
  • 4 slices provolone or sharp cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
Directions
  1. Toast all 6 slices of Ezekiel 4:9 Sesame Sprouted Whole Grain Bread until golden.
  2. Spread hummus evenly on one side of each slice.
  3. Build the first layer by topping two bread slices with lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, cucumber, and a sprinkle of black pepper.
  4. Place a second slice of bread on top of each sandwich.
  5. Build the second layer with avocado, sprouts, pickled red onions, and cheese if using.
  6. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  7. Secure each sandwich with sandwich picks and slice into quarters.
  8. Serve immediately.
