First Aid

Herbal remedies, supplements and homeopathies.

Natural First Aid Treatments

First aid. What is it? Treatment of small cuts and scrapes that bleed, or bumps and bruises with associated mild swelling, redness, and tenderness.

Food for First Aid

Good nutrition speeds wound healing. Try foods rich in vitamins A and C, such as citrus, bell peppers, leafy greens, and tomatoes. High protein foods like beans, eggs, milk, meat, and yogurt are also useful.

First Aid Supplements

Vitamins A and C, and the mineral zinc.

Herbal Therapies for First Aid

Arnica, goldenseal, all-heal, and lavender essential oil.

First Aid Homeopathy

For cuts and scrapes, try Calendula, Staphysagria, and Phosphorus; for bumps and bruises consider Arnica, Aconite, Bellis perennis, Bryonia, Hypericum, and Ledum.

Basic First Aid Procedures

Rinse cuts and scrapes with cool water and apply light pressure with clean gauze to stop any bleeding. Apply a cold compress for 20 to 30 minutes on bumps and bruises to reduce swelling and speed healing.
