Fish Oil and Immunity

By The Taste for Life Staff

Researchers have found that taking a fish or krill oil supplement may increase the body's immune function in the recovery period after exercise.

Male participants in the study showed positive effects after receiving three grams (g) of fish oil per day for six weeks.

In another study, krill oil supplementation boosted certain immune responses in healthy young males and females post exercise. Participants received 2 g of krill oil daily for six weeks.
