Here’s another benefit from practicing yoga: the muscle work and deep breathing involved brings more oxygen into the body, and that can lower your blood pressure. Experts say yoga is an effective method for reducing stress, which has been linked to heart disease. It’s particularly good for people who are unable to do more vigorous exercise.
